Lamb, Stout and Caramelised Onion Pie


I am starting a new collection for Lemon Delicious.  It is called the Test Kitchen and this is where the new dishes I test, that for whatever reason, come out not quite as I imagine. This pie is delicious - my husband said he would buy all of them - but it is a little bit thin. So, although it has lots of chunky lamb, a rich stout and caramelised onion gravy, and a buttery homemade rough puff pastry on top, it isn't deep enough to be a perfect pie. That is why this particular meal is in the test kitchen, and priced accordingly. Grab yourself a bargain and let me know what you think.

Defrost and reheat or reheat from frozen in a moderate oven until hot. Cover top loosely with foil if over-browning.

Ingredients - Lamb, onions, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, stout, marmalade, sultanas, rosemary, chicken stock, mint, olive oil, plain flour, butter, salt and pepper.
